Itinerary
Day 1 | Arrival in Baghdad
Welcome to Iraq! Upon arrival at Baghdad International Airport, you’ll be met by your guide and transferred to your hotel.
The remainder of the day is yours to relax after your journey or begin soaking up the atmosphere of one of the world’s oldest continuously inhabited capitals.
Overnight in Baghdad.
Day 2 | Exploring Baghdad
After breakfast, begin discovering the rich history and culture of Baghdad with a visit to Liberation Square, one of the city’s most important public landmarks and a symbol of modern Iraq.
Continue with a short boat ride across the Tigris River to Al-Mutanabi Street, Baghdad’s renowned literary quarter. Lined with historic bookshops and cafés, this vibrant street has long been a meeting place for writers, scholars, and artists.
Take a break at the Al-Shabander Café, one of Baghdad’s oldest tea houses, and enjoy a glass of traditional Iraqi tea while soaking in the city’s unique atmosphere.
In the afternoon, travel to Ctesiphon, the former capital of the Sasanian Empire, to admire the magnificent Arch of Ctesiphon (Taq Kasra)one of the largest single-span brick arches ever built and one of Iraq’s most impressive ancient monuments.
Return to Baghdad and spend the evening in Al-Kadhimiya, home to one of Iraq’s most important religious landmarks. Visit the Al-Kadhimiya Shrine, which houses the tombs of Imam Musa al-Kadhim and Imam Muhammad al-Jawad, before exploring the lively streets filled with local shops.

Day 3 | Babylon & Baghdad
visit the Martyr Monument , one of Baghdad’s most recognizable modern landmarks, built in memory of Iraqis who lost their lives in war.
Continue south to Babylon, one of the world’s most celebrated archaeological sites and the legendary capital of King Nebuchadnezzar II. Explore the remains of this ancient city, including the Processional Way, the reconstructed Ishtar Gate, the Lion of Babylon, and the ruins of the royal palaces.
Learn about the enduring legend of the Hanging Gardens of Babylon, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. While their exact location has never been conclusively identified, the story continues to captivate historians and visitors alike.
Your visit also includes the former Saddam Hussein Palace, built on a hill overlooking Babylon. Today, the palace offers sweeping views across the archaeological site while providing a fascinating contrast between Iraq’s ancient and more recent history.
Return to Baghdad.
This evening, enjoy free time in Karada, one of Baghdad’s liveliest neighborhoods, known for its bustling cafés, restaurants, dessert shops, and vibrant nightlife.
